Xmas presents

As I live far from shops this time of year, I  have my own present workshop in the

cottage. It´s either mail order or handmade this year. I love it and I hope people receiving

these do the same.

sitting in the cottage, dusk is here and everything is painted blue.
 The candles are burning and

 Lots of snow blowing around and everything is covered of

 It´s like embroidery-doodeling!

the base is cut-outs from old table-cloths

and they are now composed into a new piece.

but not a tablecloth!

Today it´s a gray day. No real light today. It´s a different- shades- of- grey-day!

           the candles are burning all day long 

This is the way we communicate in the countryside. When I need post to go I put it in my mailbox with a sign. The postman then leaves and takes my mail at the same time. Works perfect!

 Good Morning! 

It´s ice ice cold this morning and my car is not in the mood to run today. So I am now charging the battery and while waiting, I am preparing my Christmas cards for this year. Love making my own.

Inspiration or not?

Circles in blue

this piece is made for a group activity. I made it by layering fabrics and stiching

them all together and on top I added paper flowers

not white

It has been a lot of whites lately. I am a winter white snow person.

 But I am also very fond of strong colours, maybe my relation to the laponian

tradition and culture has taken me there.

Leaving Lapland

Time to leave for this time. it is hard to do. My exhibition was a success to me personally.
I had an excuse to go back in time to my adolescence and discover the beauty of the landscape.
And the people. I really understand why I had to work with the landscape.
These pictures are taken through the train window and as you can see, it´s breathtaking!

heading up north again

 Today I´m taking the night train back up north to the snow and winter.  Taking home 

my exhibition (hopefully some art is gone) and breathing mountain fresch air and 

taking the snow to my heart.
