not white

It has been a lot of whites lately. I am a winter white snow person.

 But I am also very fond of strong colours, maybe my relation to the laponian

tradition and culture has taken me there.

Leaving Lapland

Time to leave for this time. it is hard to do. My exhibition was a success to me personally.
I had an excuse to go back in time to my adolescence and discover the beauty of the landscape.
And the people. I really understand why I had to work with the landscape.
These pictures are taken through the train window and as you can see, it´s breathtaking!

heading up north again

 Today I´m taking the night train back up north to the snow and winter.  Taking home 

my exhibition (hopefully some art is gone) and breathing mountain fresch air and 

taking the snow to my heart.

means Artist Trading Cards and are traded all over the world. Have to be 2,5"x3,5"

and are so fun to make. They are made of all sorts, paper,fabric, metal you name it.

It is a very playful way to strech yourself and try new things.

I love to play with tiny bits of fabric.

Circles

I love all kind of circles and maybe most of all the uneven shape you get 

when you cut a freehand circle. Circles are all around us everyday.

from big to small

I am trying to make a mini from the biggest of big. 

This is the train that takes the iron from the mines to the coast through the

landscape Very powerful!

Queen of ice

this crown belongs to the Queen of Ice

Lovikka

Not very sharp picture but this is all I have. This is inspired by the wellknown pattern

used on woolen mittens from the nordic area of Sweden.

follow the red signs and you will get there. These signs are showing you the tracks all over the mountain. It´s an embroidery with lots and lots of stitches.
