having fun

I have been experimenting with printing,doodleing,stamping on fabric. Supposed to

come out as something, maybe bookcovers. Making my own books from covers to insides is my

latest desire.

when cold like today, nature is so beautiful!

this is my first book-cover made of fabric scraps. 

I have not yet stiched the signatures

but the are ready to go in. I am so pleased with the result so far and it will be so pleasing 

to have the signatures in there so I can work on the pages.

I loved this part of the book-to-be. Feels lovely to handle.

I learned this from the fantastic Mary Ann Moss

Spring ahead of us

Though it´s very very cold outside, I´m taking a bit of spring inside.

 The mild colours of pink seems 

like a great contrast to the outside bright white and pale yellows.

 I just felt the desire of covering a match-box with spring colours. 

Makes me feel happy.

 quite happy with the binding today. It is called Diamond X.

not so perfect photo but it´s the back cover. Something I painted last year.

This is to practise the craft. Have not started to work on the pages yet.

Learning by doing

Finally I have come around my long waited for desire. To learn making my own books.

I am practising with different ways to stich and bind.

It´s a challenge to get all the papers you want to nicely tuck into the cover.

But I like to deal with new challenges. And to use whatever is around. 

Making mistakes one by one.

Starting a new one to make it right. Will end up with many many more or less unperfect ones

but they are getting better and better.

blues and pinks

I do love the blues before it gets dark. It´s a moment filled with melancoly and awareness-

for me. It´s like nature prepares for the dark night to come.

Days are very short these days and when the blue hour hits,you know time is soon up.

And you have to wait till the morning.

Good Morning

Suddenly the sky turns this colour and a few minutes it is over.

 One has to grab the moments and enjoy.

 We have had changes in temperature lately.warm weather has caused the snow to melt

and so suddely, the cold is back.

 The melting process stopped.
