To Mary Ann Moss and John Arbuckle

Finally

this project, The Barn Project, is over and done. Thanks to Mary Ann and John I have accomplished

this. The inside of the book will follow. Mary Ann took my hand and took me to the land of paper and making books that I have looked all over to find. Finally I found my place,thanks her.

John helped me to fill this book with art that has been travellling across the ocean again and again.

We have inspired each other and I have had a blast. I have got a new art friend through this project and we will work together again some day........

The actual book is found by my Danish friend Tina and I was a wreck!

It was hard work to transform that old photoalbum into this beauty but Mary Ann showed me what glue and beautiful paper can do.

I found these plates in Amsterdam in the Stedelijk Museum, an exhibition by

the dutch designer Marcel Wanders. There were hundreds of objects to look at

but most of all I liked these plates. Holland has a tradition of blue china and he

is playing with this

love these traditional figures that he has made blue and white,  his way

these tatoos, china-style were also a favorite of mine

bikes all over in Amsterdam. I have never seen so many bikes

in a city before. The streets were divided between cars and bikes in

equal parts, and pedestrians were left with very little space.

I was closed to have a collision every day, not being used to have bikes all over.

Nice though.

Found a super-duper paper shop, I was happy

I discovered this shop on the last day on my trip, a Sunday and yes,

it was closed. It was situated opposite the hotel I stayed in. Too close really.

Cheese, tulips and china.

A few of the dominating impressions from my first visit to this town.

Spring is a little late this year but the tulips were out.

Art

Went to Stockholm. Saw an exhibition where lots of artists can show their work.

It happens once a year and is a true event to wait for.

Circles

How beautiful are these tyres?

They are huge and belongs to the big tractor that 

clear the road of snow

Reds

this is the best way to transport yourself in icy 

weather. On ice you can really get high speed.

and it´s good to hold on to.

It has been used in the north always and

when I was little, we used to take may little

brother in a wooden cradle fastened in the front

on top of the seat. and race on the ice.

these little containers used to be for herring,

I painted them white and used it to frame

little fabric works. it´s packed snow as I see it
